Electricity
Standard household electricity in the Kanto region is 100V/50Hz. Inquiries the electric company and make sure all the circuit breaker switches are in the up position before using it for the first time.
If you will be getting your electricity from TEPCO, you must call or apply through online first for services. You must also file a notice with them in advance if you plan on moving.

Gas
Chuo City uses city gas (13A). If you need to begin or end gas services, you need to have the gas company open or close the main valve and check the lines.

Water
Tap water in Japan is drinkable as is.
To start using the water service, send the application form by mail or call the Bureau of Waterworks Customer Center. When moving out, you must notify the water company at least three to four days in advance. When doing so, identifying yourself with your customer account number specified on your receipt will allow the process to proceed promptly.
